Practice Pieces

Terms

These terms are between you and Clouthier Simulation Labs, a sole proprietorship in Ontario, Canada.

Using the music

You may print, copy and share the pieces you make with your own students (or use them yourself), as often as you like, in lessons and for practice at home. You may not resell them, publish them in bulk, or use automated tools to download them.

How the music is made

Pieces are written by software and checked against our level rules. We work hard to make them right, but please look over each piece before you give it to a student. Levels are our own and are not affiliated with any exam board.

Plans and payment

Free plans have monthly limits. Paid plans and extra packs are one-time payments through PayPal: a plan lasts one year from the day you pay (or from the end of your current year if you buy early) and does not renew by itself. Extra packs do not expire. If something goes wrong, email us within 30 days and we will make it right, including a refund.

Your data, and if we ever close

You can download everything you have with us at any time from your account page. If Practice Pieces ever closes, we will give you at least 90 days' notice by email and keep the download working until the end.

Free pieces and the public library

Pieces written on the free plan may be published in our free public library so other teachers and students can use them. We publish only the music, its level and focus, and any notes you leave about how it played. We never publish your name, your students' names or anything else about you. Pieces written on a paid plan stay private to your studio.

Fair use

Teacher plans are for one teacher. The Studio plan covers the owner and up to 4 more teachers. We may limit accounts that are shared or automated.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
