Lament in B-flat
A free trombone piece at Level 2 for practising general practice. Print it, play along at three speeds, and share it with your students.
When to use this piece
Use it as fresh repertoire at the right level: sight-reading, lesson warm-ups, recital ideas, or a reward piece.
How to practise it
- Read through the piece once without stopping.
- Play along at 60% with the count-in.
- Work on any tricky bars, then play along at 80% and 100%.
Teacher tip. Give it as sight-reading first. A piece at the right level builds confidence when the student gets through it on the first try.
