When to use this piece
Use it to put scale work into real music, or when runs are uneven or rushed.
How to practise it
- Play the scale of the piece's key once, slowly.
- Find the scale runs in the score and play them alone.
- Play the whole piece along at 60%, then faster.
Teacher tip. Practise each run starting from its last note backwards, adding one note at a time. Endings get as much practice as beginnings.
